Financial Freedom Journey, a transparent and honest blog following my way to financial freedom through passive income. Going live.

As this blog is being launched into the world, following me on my journey to financial independence, my total investments are 107,767.10 EUR. My current monthly passive income from P2P loans is 352 EUR. My goal is to reach 1500 EUR/month within 8 years.

My current investments are ETFs and P2P loans.

🚀 ETFs: 2018 was not a particularly great year for ETF investors. While the MSCI World ETF continued to grow for its 7th year in a row, the DAX ETF lost 16 percentage points and the Emerging Markets ETF lost 8.6 percentage points. Given the latest economic outlook, I am confident that 2019 will be a better year for the global economy and hence for ETFs.  While I am complaining about 2018, it is important to note that since I first invested in ETFs in 2016, the market value of my ETF portfolio has grown by 6 percent.

🚀 P2P: 2018 was an exciting year in the P2P loan world. A good number of new platforms have emerged, creating competition and allowing the user to diversify better. Personally, I invested on Swaper in 2018 – and have been positively surprised. However, as of Jan 2018, all 3 platforms (Mintos, Twino, Swaper) currently have challenges absorbing investors capital. A total amount of EUR in my accounts is waiting to be auto-invested.

🎉 For 2019, I am planning to invest in 1 or 2 new P2P loan platforms as well as increasing my monthly passive income to 400 EUR.
